Secrets To A Healthy Heart With Balanced Energy

No matter your age, achieving and maintaining the many secrets to a healthy heart is the key to longevity.

If the energy within your heart is very strong then not only is your body strong but so is your mind and spirit. But if your heart is deficient and your blood is not pumping at its optimal level then your energy and spirit is usually weak.

High blood pressure is often one of the signals of a deficient heart energy. But it is possible to correct and change your body's energy. The energy of the heart organ system relates to the element of fire. And, fires can burn out of control, and so can your emotions. Unchecked emotions and stress directly affect your heart.

Signs of disharmony of the heart are palpitations, insomnia and anxiety. So first lets take a look at the heart meridian and how you can calm your heart's energy.

Your Heart Meridian

Your heart meridians is within the pericardium meridian, which is physically a membrane that surrounds and protects the heart. This membrane starts on your chest and continues on the medial side of your arm to the middle finger.

This healing energy point is found on the pericardium 8 almost in the center of your palm and if you treat this point well, it will offer a very significant balancing of energy to your heart, mind and spirit.

Qi Gong and Tai Chi

The beauty of these exercises is that anyone of any age can benefit and do them. This is another exercise in the many secrets to a healthy heart.

Qi Gong is a more stationary exercise utilizing meditation and deep-breathing techniques. While Tai Chi is movement based and is a gentle form of martial art. These exercises improve your energy flow, your state of mind, and the best benefit of all is lowering your high blood pressure.

Acupuncture

This holistic treatment is an energetic healing modality that uses your body's own energy, targeting each organ system, including your heart meridians removing blockage, releasing stagnation and tension throughout your physical, emotional and spiritual systems.

Your acupuncturist will first check your pulse so that he or she can feel the state of your heart and know the areas of your physical body that needs strengthening.

De-Stress

Breathe and relieve your stress to a healthy balancing of life. Anxiety is the main cause that affects ones heart energy.

Be Happy

Make every effort to have a positive outlook on life and understand that you cannot control everything. Stuff happens.

HBP Tips - Corner

I use this acupuncture point to help me relieve anxiety and my coughing - from time to time I have a dry hacking cough from the sinus drip in the back of my throat.

There is an acupuncture point named Pericardium 6, found on the pericardium channel, that you can apply acupressure to which is found by turning your wrist palm side up. Find the two tendons in the center of your arm starting at your wrist. Place 3 fingers up from the wrist crease. At the other end of your three fingers between the two tendons lies the point. Press firmly, using your thumb in a circular motion for a few minutes to start the healing process.

This is a great point to help calm your anxiety, coughing, nausea and light-headedness. Also do some slow deep breathing to achieve the quieting of your heart.
