High Blood Pressure
Issue #009 - October 5th, 2011
Acupressure is one of the most marvelous and lesser known procedures available to you for the lowering of your high blood pressure. Part III, the last in the Acupressure Three Parts Series, on using acupressure to treat the many ailments of your body, we'll cover:
- A Review of Acupressure
- Using Acupressure To Control Your High Blood Pressure
Part III - Final Chapter!!!!
A Review of Acupressure
Acupressure can be used as a remedial method either to stimulate or sedate your autonomic nervous system and also as an alternative procedure of acupuncture.
Remember to be gentle when applying pressure, at no time should you be forceful, and the average pressure for sedating skin points is about the same pressure you can stand being applied to your own eyeballs without discomfort.
Use rotary movements with your fingers and thumb and treatment on each point should never exceed seven seconds. Acupressure should only be applied long enough to stimulate your autonomic nervous system and specific enough to treat your ailment.
The marvelous benefits of acupressure is that it stimulates your endocrine gland functions, releases waste products from your musculature and other organs, helps you to achieve mental relaxation, reduces pain and lower your chronically elevated blood pressure in an instance.
Then normalcy is achieved.
Using Acupressure To Control Your High Blood Pressure
Techniques Of Acupressure Controlled High Blood Pressure
Here are the beneficial steps you can use to instantly lower your blood pressure levels:
- Your Carotid Sinus - Apply fingertip pressure to your carotid sinus, you find this acupressure point at the top of your Adam's apple. Find your pulse and lightly press on both sides of your neck. Breathe deeply. Repeat three times
- Base Of Your Skull - Press your fingers along the bony ridge at the base of your skull, which is painful to your touch when your blood pressure is high, and massage this area gently with your fingertips.
- Solar Plexus Pressure - Apply pressure to your solar plexus area, breathing deeply for a slow five count, making sure to expel all the air from your lungs.
- Your Middle Finger - Grasp the tip of your third finger and squeeze, pull and repeat alternately five times on each of your hand.
You'll find additional acupressure controlled high blood pressure points located at the bottom of your foot, in the crease behind your knee, above your wrist right in the center and my favorite blood pressure lowering point is squeezing and massage your third fingertip.
After your completion of these techniques, again feel along the base of your skull and rub until the tenderness is all gone. As the soreness dissipates your blood pressure is instantly being lowered.
Review these detailed instructions on using acupressure controlled high blood pressure.
If you have mild high blood pressure, this is a splendid technique to use at home, but, if you were diagnosed with chronically high blood pressure, use this procedure in an emergency and get to your doctor at once for further treatment.
What I find amazing about Acupressure is that it doesn't matter what the problem is, if you can locate and treat the right acupuncture point, your organ or the part of your body that is hurting will right itself and your pain will automatically disappear.
So learn these techniques so in the case of an emergency it may save a life one day.
